Am I a bad reader if I skip over paragraphs of scenery just to get to the plot? I was doing that quite a bit in this book. I liked following the characters through the story and watching how their choices and actions shaped their future. But, I never cared about them enough to cry when bad things happened to them.
That being said, I will likely read the next book in the trilogy.
